MEMORANDUM OF ARRANGEMENT BETWEEN ASSOCIATION OF INDIAN UNIVERSITIES AND MALAYSIA QUALIFICATIONS AGENCY ON MUTUAL RECOGNITION OF EQUIVALENCE OF THE EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
The Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Mutual Recognition of Equivalence of the Educational Qualifications with the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), India on 1 April 2017 in New Delhi, India. The MoU seeks to recognise the equivalence of qualifications/degrees of recognised/accredited institutions, in a wider range of disciplines (Social Science, Natural Science, Humanities, Engineering and Technology, Agriculture, Business Administration and Commerce) from both countries.
With the MoU, India will recognise accredited programmes offered by Malaysia Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), which includes the Public and Private HEIs, as well as other degree granting institutions, and vice versa.
To date, both parties will discuss further on the Malaysian and Indian institutions to be listed under this Agreement.
