On July 23, 2012, a delegation from the Scottish Qualifications Authority, led by Mr. Alistair Shaw, had visited the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

During the meeting, the Scottish delegates were given an overview of MQA's quality assurance practices and the Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF).

A follow-up meeting on July 23, 2012 was later scheduled for further discussion with the MQA.
