A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been duly signed on the 8 th of November 2011 between the ASEAN Quality Assurance Network (AQAN) and the Universal News at the office of Malaysian Qualifications Agency, Petaling Jaya.
The aim of the MoU is to establish cooperation between the AQAN and the Universal News in highlighting the quality profile of higher education in the South East Asia region.
The MoU was signed by Dato’ Dr Syed Ahmad Hussein, the President of AQAN and Mr. Vincent Rifici, the Asia Director for the Universal News.
Dato’ Dr. Syed Ahmad Hussein, on behalf of AQAN, expressed his gratitude to the Universal News for its willingness in providing a media platform for the Network and its regional connections to reach the international audience on the various quality initiatives in the region.
Under the MoU, AQAN is expected to provide Universal News with editorial advices and to assist contacts with relevant quality assurance agencies in the South East Asia region.
The ceremony was ended with a commitment by both parties to venture into areas of co-operations which are promising and mutually beneficial.
